Course Name: Introduction to Machine Learning

Course abstract

With the increased availability of data from varied sources there has been increasing attention paid to the various data driven disciplines such as analytics and machine learning. In this course we intend to introduce some of the basic concepts of machine learning from a mathematically well motivated perspective. We will cover the different learning paradigms and some of the more popular algorithms and architectures used in each of these paradigms.

B. Ravindran is an associate professor in the department of computer science and engineering in IIT Madras. He has over two decades of experience in machine learning and related areas. He has published nearly 100 articles in various journals and top conferences. He also extensively consults with Industry and serves advisors to various startups in the space data analytics and machine learning.
